Recyclable Materials

  1. Glass - All Containers, bottles, or window glass.

  2. Plastic - Hard Plastic - Any item with the recycle logo. Soft Plastic - All food carrying bags, shopping bags, shrink-wrap, etc. EXCEPT hay bale wrapping.

  3. Metal Items - All tin, steel or aluminum cans and other small metal items are to be recycled.

  4. Newsprint and Fine Papers - Newspapers must be string tied in bundles not exceeding 40 pounds maximum. Other paper products should be placed in paper bags or tied in bundles.

  5. Cardboard/Corrugated Boxes - All cardboard to be deposited flat and bundled/tied in manageable bundles of approximately 30 pounds. Small boxboard and corrugated items must be flat and boxed in a full and level cardboard box or paper bag. Note: Cardboard containers will not be accepted built up, all must be flat. All boxboard or product boxes are considered cardboard.

Materials not Accepted (Not Recyclable)

  1. Any waxed container such as corrugated vegetable cartons, all waxed dairy product containers, any mixed product containers such as juice or dairy containers with plastic spouts.

  2. All vinyl products including house siding, vinyl patio chairs, tables, hanging flower pots, large toys, etc. or any plastic container used for motor oil or petroleum products.

  3. Any mixed product such as plastic/metal, plastic/cardboard, glass/plastic, etc.

  4. #3 Plastics - usually amber plastic containers used for coffee whiteners.

  5. All Christmas wrap and paper.

ALL CONTAINERS MUST BE EMPTY AND FREE OF ALL FOOD STUFFS, AS WELL, METAL CONTAINERS MUST BE FREE OF OTHER PRODUCTS SUCH AS PAPER, PLASTIC, ETC.
