Development Charges

A growing municipality requires investment in growth related infrastructure to service new development. Development charges are fees that are paid by new development upon the issuance of a building permit to fund the capital cost of growth related services constructed throughout the municipality.

Notice of Passing of a Development Charges By-Law by the Township of Stone Mills

Stone Mills Township Council passed Development Charges By-Law 2024-1276, being a By-law For the Imposition of Development Charges on November 18, 2024, pursuant to Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O. 1997 c. 27. The development charges imposed by the By-law, came into effect on January 1, 2025.
