Council

Township of Stone Mills Council is made up of 7 members, comprised of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and five Council members. All Council members are elected at large by all voters in the Township and serve a four-year term. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor also sit on County Council for Lennox & Addington. 

The key responsibilities of the members of Council are to support the municipality and its operations while ensuring that the public and municipality’s well-being and interests are maintained.

Council meetings are open to the public and take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month in Council Chambers located at the Centreville Municipal Office at 4504 County Road 4, Centreville. Should a meeting fall on a statutory holiday, the meeting will be moved to the Tuesday immediately following the holiday. Council typically meets once in the months of July, August and December. If you are unable to attend a meeting in person, they are live streamed on the Township of Stone Mills YouTube page.
