Council

Township of Stone Mills Council is made up of 7 members, comprised of the Reeve, Deputy Reeve and five Council members. 

All Council members are elected at large by all voters in the Township and serve a four-year term. The Reeve and Deputy Reeve also sit on the County Council for Lennox & Addington. 

The key responsibilities of the members of Council are to support the municipality and its operations while ensuring that the public and municipality’s well-being and interests are maintained.

Beginning in 2026 Council meetings will occur on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Should a meeting fall on a statutory holiday, the meeting will be moved to the Tuesday immediately following the holiday. Council typically meets once in the months of July, August and December.
