Municipal Parks & Trails

On the southwest corner of Beaver Lake in Erinsville, Beaver Lake Lion’s Park offers waterfront parkland, swimming, picnic tables, a picnic shelter, a dock, playground equipment, toilets, boat launch and two parking spots. The park is maintained by the Tamworth and Area Lions Club.

The Cataraqui Trail is a year-round, shared-use recreation trail running from Smith Falls to Strathcona. In spring, summer, and fall it welcomes everyone from hikers to cyclists. In winter it is open to snowmobilers and cross-country skiers.

Located on the shore of Varty Lake in Yarker, Centennial Park provides waterfront parkland with walkways, covered picnic area and picnic tables, a dock, a boat launch, a parking lot, multiple toilets, drinking water at Well House, men and women's showers in Cottage Building, playground equipment, and swimming.

Located on the North West corner of Ottawa and Wheeler Street in Tamworth, the Cunningham Memorial Park offers a shaded area to walk and includes a riverside park and gazebo.

Located in Erinsville, the Dark Sky Viewing Area has ample parking and a large concrete pad for camera or telescope setup. The viewing area is perfect for stargazing, and night sky photography.

Located at the end of Neville Point Road in Erinsville, Neville Point Park provides waterfront parkland, swimming, a dock, seasonal toilets/clothes changing area, a gazebo, picnic tables, and a boat launch

Located north of the Dark Sky Viewing Area, the Sheffield Conservation Area includes waterfront parkland, a trail system, a picnic area, a seasonal portable toilet, a parking lot, and a boat launch onto Little Mellon.
