Although new internment rights can not be administered, if you hold internment rights in a township maintained cemetery that has since been deemed inactive a burial is able to take place with proper documentation of previous internment rights.
Required Documentation
- Burial Permit or Cremation Certificate
- Death Certificate
- Old plot deed or Internment rights certificate
- Family tree showing lineage and ties to cemetery
Eligibility For Order Of Internment
If Internment rights were granted before the cemetery became inactive, the original rights holder or their legal heirs retain those rights unless they have been surrendered.
