Collection for Large Household Items 
Village of Newburgh’s Large Item Pick Up program provides a convenient collection service of large household items once a year, including mattresses, furniture, couches and carpets rolled up into 4 foot lengths. This service is available to residents within Newburgh with garbage collection.  
 
IMPORTANT REMINDER: 
This service does not accept lumber, construction waste, appliances (white goods), scrap metal, household hazardous waste, tires, yard waste and electronics. 

Please do not leave any items that are not accepted at the curb.
The resident will be responsible for removing them at their own expense.

Curbside Pickup

Residents living within the Hamlet of Newburgh have curbside pickup. Garbage and recycling is picked up within the Village of Newburgh on alternating Mondays. Effective July 1, 2025, the Township will no longer be responsible for the provision of recycling services for residential properties. To learn more, visit our Blue Box Transition page.

All Household waste MUST BE IN MANDATORY CLEAR TOWNSHIP BAGS which are available for purchase for $3.00 at the following locations:

  • Stone Mills Municipal Office- 4504 County Rd. 4, Centreville
  • McCormick’s Country Store - 2561 County Road 1, Camden East
  • Fast Freddy's - 2068 County Rd 1, Newburgh
  • A1 Corner Store - 2 Concession St, Tamworth
  • Stone Mills Family Market - 672 Addington St, Tamworth
  • Tamworth Hardware - 5 Concession St N, Tamworth
  • Yarker Lucky Dollar - 4255 County Rd 6, Yarker
  • Beaver Lake Variety – 5804 County Rd 4, Erinsville
